Business Opportunities
Over three hundred technologies are now available for licensing through the Rensselaer Office of Technology Commercialization. Our office works to promote the introduction of Rensselaer technology into the commercial marketplace by building relationships with a diverse group of qualified companies, from start-ups to multinational corporations.
Dedication to interdisciplinary technology convergence distinguishes Rensselaer among academic institutions. Our expertise in forming research "constellations" - multidisciplinary teams of faculty and graduate students from fields of strategic interest to the university - leads to creative, innovative technologies for new products and ventures. This nationally recognized approach is supported by more than twenty five research centers on campus, including the 218,000 square-foot Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies, new in 2004.
